André SORNAY (1902-2000) SORNAY MEUBLES "Sliding desk and storage unit" from the "Mobilier à Tigettes" series July 16, 1965 A set comprising a base unit on a pedestal and a sliding desk; the frames in avodire. The base unit rests on a pedestal and opens with three sliding doors and brackets; two ash veneered leaves, one red lacquered to reveal an equally lacquered interior, the side parts black lacquered. The upside-down L-shaped desk with glass top, sliding on a rail fixed to the front of the base unit, features an ash veneered openwork jamb and an entablature opening onto a deep niche and a drawer. Sideboard: H. 75 cm. L. 205.5 cm. D. 47 cm. Desk: H. 74.5 cm. 121 cm. D. 65 cm. Used condition, a small crack in the wood on the desk, towards the metal bracket. Important : Copies of the original plan, the order dated July 16, 1965 and the invoice dated November 16, 1965 will be given to the purchaser.
