Hook representing an ancestor, hands behind his back, of undetermined gender. The torso is decorated with scarification marks on the chest. The eyes are enhanced with fragments of turbo marmoratus shell (left eye missing). No suspension system. Middle Sepik, PNG, Melanesia. Soft charcoal wood. 20th century Height: 80 cm.
