Rare example of a fighting spear carved with a complex tip featuring a stylization of two points one above the other. The shaft is decorated with incised motifs and a corolla of plant fiber encircles the lower tip. A typical bamboo tube is attached to the distal end, but the segment junctions are adorned with black-painted motifs. St. Matthias Island, Bismarck Archipelago, PNG, Melanesia.
