Statue, Tellem, Mali Height 46 cm. Provenance : Ritual Gallery, Brussels Collection of Monsieur G, Paris Beautiful Dogon statue, typical of the transitional period between the Tellem and the Dogon, in the 15th and 16th centuries. It features both the raised arms and flat, cubist back, typical of Tellem statuary, and a more figurative treatment of the face and legs. Nice oozing patina in some places, evidence of long libations. CIRAM certificate dated September 30, 2024: XV-XVIth century.
