Direct visual examination reveals the presence of Schreger's angles. Common name of species: African elephant. Scientific name: Loxodonta africana. Handle length: 35 cm. Total length: 62.5 cm Width: 3 cm Thickness: 2.4 cm Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mangbetu ethnic group. Late 19th / early 20th century.
