"Black and White
High pitcher with a detached handle resting on a recessed base.
Polychrome enamelled ceramic proof; large black and framed reserves on a white background - the handle underlined with black fillets.
Circa 1950.
Condition as used, one firing crack around the handle, major firing defects on the black flat areas, causing numerous bubbles and surface lifting.
Signed JOUVE and monogrammed A. P. (with interlaced letters) for Apollon, a mark known as the Alpha, in handwritten incisions on the reverse.
Height: 32.5 cm.
