ARMAN (1928-2005) - Lot 73
ARMAN (1928-2005) Bas-relief of African spoons Bronze with shaded brown patina Signed and justified One of 99 numbered copies 50 x 38 cm. Arman's interest in and attachment to the arts premiers is well known, and he became a major collector, sometimes exchanging his creations for African artifacts. The primitive forms of these objects, born of a non-European culture and whose shape is determined by use as well as by a sense of aesthetics, became one of his sources of inspiration. Viewing by appointment at Cabinet Marc Ottavi, 12 Rue Rossini, 75009 Paris.
