Senior officer's saber à la Chasseur.
Stingray-covered handle (missing). Chased brass mounting, three-prong hilt decorated with laurel leaves and two shuttle-shaped pommels adorned with flowers. Long-tailed cap decorated with the great arms of France (fleurs-de-lis removed). Lion's head pommel.
Curved blade with flat back and hollow sides with remains of acid etching. Original red cloth tie.
Iron plate scabbard with two brass bracelets.
Length: 100 cm.
A.B.E. (Missing bowl, oxidation). Restoration period, modified under the July Monarchy.
