Light cavalry officer's saber. Checkered ebony handle. Brass mounting (pommel missing), German-style single-branch guard with six-sided mounts. Curved quillon. Beautiful curved, flat-backed blade, stamped "ISI" on the tang, engraved with cabalistic motifs and decorated in 4/5th damascus style, counter-edged. Gilded, patinated iron scabbard with two flat bracelets and two rings. Length: 99 cm. E.M. Consulate period.
