Old type B composite hook (Blau & Maaz, Fish Hooks of the Pacific Islands, 2012, p. 37). The light-colored point is held on the shank by fiber ligatures. A European glass bead is attached to the back to increase the lure's attractiveness. Central and Southern islands of the Solomon Islands archipelago, Melanesia. Turtle shell (eretmochelys imbricata*), mother-of-pearl (pinctada maxima*), fibers and a glass bead.
