Old type B composite hook (Blau & Maaz, Fish Hooks of the Pacific Islands, 2012, p. 37). The dark tip is held to the shank by fiber ligatures. Three European glass beads are attached to the back to increase the lure's attractiveness. Central and Southern islands of the Solomon Islands archipelago, Melanesia. Turtle shell (eretmochelys imbricata*), mother-of-pearl (pinctada maxima*), fiber and glass beads.
