Old type B composite hook (Blau & Maaz, Fish Hooks of the Pacific Islands, 2012, p. 37). The dark tip is held on the shank by fiber ligatures. Four European glass beads are attached to the back to increase the lure's attractiveness. Central and South Solomon Islands, Melanesia Turtle shell (eretmochelys imbricata*), mother-of-pearl (pinctada maxima*), fiber and glass beads.
